Worst service ever at Meyerton Capitec
Im really frustrated, and this was the last straw using Capitec as my bank. Im closing my account as soon as possible. On 20 Feb, I app**** for some funds to be released from my 32-day savings account. But I needed the money urgent because my car broke down and it's my only means for work. So I requested an urgent 7-day release, and they added a penalty fee due to the urgent release. So according to the attendee (sales lady), it is requested, and the payout date will be on 3 March. On the 3rd of March when no funds showed I phoned the call center. They told me I was missed informed and the money will only be released on the 13th of March. So now its 14days later. Still, I was penalized for the urgent release. But on 10 March I was really struggling to cope without funds. So I went to the branch again. Thats when the salesperson told me that the people are not doing their job properly there. Cause they should have told me that they could not override a pending withdrawal date. And told me it will be finalised and paid out to me on the latest 18th of March. When the funds did not reflect in my bank on the 18th of March, I went into the branch again. Again, the lady told me, "Sorry, it takes 24 hours to reflect in my account, so it will definitely be available the next morning. And once again the sales person told me, the previous sales persons that helped me, did not do their work properly and they should have told me that there is only a 7 day and 32 day waiting period. Today is 20th March. Still no funds. It's a long weekend, and now I will not be able to pay for my car repairs and will be left in the dark until Monday. When I went to see someone ONCE AGAIN today, the indian sales lady told me that because the previous sales people did not do their work properly, it is the reason for further delay. How can a financial business/bank have to many *********** employees? Why is it such a struggle to withdraw MY funds with so many issues. I still have to pay the early release penalty, but the bank benefits from the interest the longer they delay the pay out. Im taking this matter to the ombudsman.
