Worst experience of my life - will never use Capitec Bank again

Worst experience of my life. I visited a branch this morning in order to close my credit card. When i got there, the consultant gave me an amount to withdraw and deposit into the credit card so that it can be closed. After withdrawing the amount, i returned to the bank and then waited in the Queue for another consultant to help me. when i got to the different consultant, he advised that i will be charged to close the card and that the amount that was initially given did not account for the direct deposit fee's that i was charged when depositing the amount, therefore my account was short and i needed to withdraw again to ensure enough funds were available. i left again, walked to the fnb to withdraw and returned to capitec, followed the same process again, deposited the money then waited in the queue, one of the consultants advised that i could go back to the same guy and did not have to wait in the queue, however, the consultant "forgot" that i was waiting for him, and made me wait for more than 30minutes before i was dealt with again.

Eventually, he called in to get my Credit card closed, only to be told that my savings did not have enough and that i needed to WITHDRAW AGAIN AND DEPOSIT MONEY AGAIN into my savings. by this point, i was fuming as i could've been told all of this initially and not be running up and down from capitec to fnb because of the *********** consultants!!! The consultant still had a nerve to tell the person on the phone that he told me to deposit the money in my savings. Which was a complete LIE! i eventually did an EFT to the account. when i asked the consultant howmuch i should transfer, he advised R60. which i did, only to be told that oops, that wasnt enough because the account withholds R25 because of the card so you are still R25 short. when trying to make an eft payment again, my battery dies and i ask if he has a charger or if i can use his pc to do the transfer. He tells me that they not allowed to keep phones on them and that the PC only has the capitec app, nothing else. He then advises me to just go outside the bank, there is an ABSA, i can draw R50 there.

After everything that had gone wrong with my experience, the worst thing that the consultant could've asked was that i withdraw from an ABSA. i lost my S**t and told him that i will not pay extra bank fee's because they cannot give me the right amount. i told him that i want my effing account closed and that this nonsense was unacceptable. after he said there was nothing that he can do. i left.

i honestly will never use Capitec again. i cant understand how they were voted best bank of the year because their customer service is pathetic. and i think that i shouldnt be the one to tell them how important customer service is to any customer.
