Won't pay savings out 1 month after the date nominated for payout

Hi,

My mother recently retired and has an account with Capitec.

She opened a savings account and nominated for it to pay out in October - it is now November and every time she goes to the branch in Mthatha central she was first told the bank does not have funds and that they would let her know when they will pay her money - she escalated to the manager who was due to process it but between them having them a death in the family and needing time off ( because Capitec has one manager who can approve releasing of funds apparently) they have now returned asking her to give them 7 days as they have a lot to catch up with.

My mother is stressed beyond words because she does not work and has a reason for nominating that her money be paid in October. We have since had a death in the family due to burial this Friday and she is unable to make any arrangements due to this hold up.

We are looking into getting legal counsel on the matter but i am honestly disgusted that every Sunday we see how the bank sponsors idols but cannot pay clients monies back.
