Warning to small businesses

My business account was blocked because of a R160 transaction for a headband. The customer was told of the pause in operations as I was in hospital, the customer received the goods aswell via courier. Yet I have to jump through hoops for a reactivation on a false allegation. For R160 ?? This beyond unacceptable. I have sent through the proof, they are requiring my id when I only have passport and drivers license. All for a head band that was on sale on my website. For R160. The way Capitec treats their clients as if they are doing us a favor by banking with them. Never again. To any small business owners please don't use Capitec business, your revenue will be at risk because of a disgruntled customer. If I had all my business revenue paid to my business account instead of Yoco, I would have a severe cash flow issue. Please small business who give baking details to clients for payment please do not use Capitec.

No assistance and rude agents calling. No communication at all after multiple back and forth. Account closed !! Small businesses please do not bank with Capitec. Tyme bank FNb or ABSA are great alternatives

If you're a small business with a closed account due to "*****" report by a disgruntled customer. Definitely search the Facebook and Reddit of Capitec threads of the same thing happening to other business owners. That info is truly more helpful than what Capitec will ever do !!!
