Useless!!! Capitec is not safe nor interested in there clients.

Utterly disappointed in capitec as a bank. So you would expect a bank to be safe and secure. Not the case with capitec at all!! On 19/8/2019 I recieved 4 sms of payments 2 from the 15th which only came through on the 19th and another 2 came in from the 19th. All payments to one person. I contacted the call centre immediately to block my account and alert them of what has happened. 15min after I received the sms. I was told I'd get a reference number via sms, the lady didn't bother to send it. I called again an hour later to find out where the reference number was they said they would send it again.. Again this never happened. I went to the Montague gardens branch first thing the following morning and I was told by the consultant I needed to open a case at the police station get a case number and come back. Which I did. They then said it would take 14 working days to sort out the issue. Today being the 5th of September 2019 I went to the branch again and the consultant got the ***** department on the line. They then told me that I reported the incident too late and there was nothing they could do. A total of R5680 was removed from my account and there is nothing you can do???? What do I pay bank charges For??? Why do I put money in the bank?? To keep it safe that's why!! But what do you do when they take your last of your money and your bank tells you sorry you're too slow.. Meanwhile capitec is the one who didn't log it. They are the ones who didn't freeze the account. They are the ones that couldn't even be bothered to sms/email or call to give me any information. I had to chase them. I am beyond disappointed, disgusted and frustrated. CAPITEC IS USELESS AND YOUR MONEY IS NOT SAFE. Please note, Capitec has confirmed they do not have insurance for this kind of thing therefore as a bank should not be allowed to be providing a service of keeping their clients money safe as they are unable to do so. Or full the gap when their security systems fail.
