Useless Capitec ***** Division

Good Day

RE: INADEQUATE FOLLOW-UP ON ***** CASE - Reference Number: *** I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the handling of my ***** case reported on September 25, 2024. This letter serves as a formal complaint about the subsequent customer service experience received from Capitec. On September 25, 2024, I reported a *****ulent online transactional purchase from a company posing as "Sportmans Warehouse" for two SA rugby jerseys to your ***** Division. During this initial report, I spoke with Mellisa from Capitec ***** Division, who specifically instructed me to contact her after one month to verify whether I had received the merchandise from the *****ulent website that had impersonated Sportsmans Warehouse. Following these instructions, I attempted to contact Mellisa on October 25, 2024, as directed. Despite having a reference number and following the precise instructions provided, I have been repeatedly redirected between different departments without resolution. This experience has been both frustrating and time-consuming, adding further distress to an already concerning situation of *****. I request:

Immediate attention to my ***** case Direct contact from Mellisa or a senior ***** investigator A clear explanation of why I was unable to reach the assigned investigator Written confirmation of the current status of my case A defined timeline for resolution

The details of my case are as follows:

Initial Report Date: September 25, 2024 ***** Case Reference Number: [***] Contact Person: Mellisa (***** Division)CAPITEC Nature of *****: *****ulent website <Hk Henghao Metal Mater>impersonating Sportsmans Warehouse SA Amount Involved: [R625.67]

Given the unsatisfactory handling of this follow-up, I expect a response within 48 hours of receipt of this letter. If I do not receive an adequate response, I will be compelled to escalate this matter to the Banking Ombudsman.
