UNWILLINGTOTRANSFERFUNDSFROMCLOSEDACCTOESTATE ACC
Visited N1 City branch on Friday 18 Sep 2015 to close account and request transfer of funds to estate account. All information was provided including a letter sign by Standard Bank Tygervalley Branch Manager to confirm estate's banking details. That took nearly three hours. After a month we had no feedback. When we went to branch, no record could be found nor any information previously provided. It was presumed LOST. Again everything was provided on 22 Oct 2015 and received a bank stamped to confirm delivery. By 12 Nov 2015 we still had no feedback, incurring cost as Estate Account remained waiting for only that deposit. Spoke to branch manager on 12 Nov 2015 who promised feedback. He never phoned back. Phoned assistant branch manager on 13 Nov 15 who had no knowledge of the matter. She advised with an hour that they need a bank statement to confirm bank details despite signed letter and that every other debtor accepted letter. This was never an issue in the previous two deliveries. That statement was provided to her on 17 Nov 2015. She phoned later that morning to confirm everything is in order and it will take 10 working days. That has now long expired. Nothing short of theft.
