Unreliable, *********, Untrained & Misleading Bank. Capitec Bank SA

Capitec is honestly NOT the bank to bank with!!

On the 23rd July 2025 I made a payment for goods I bought to capitec account which was blocked in March 2025 as advised. When the receiver checked he's banking app to see if the money was in he's account, he's savings account wasn't showing, after calling the bank, they confirmed he's account was blocked but my payment(R15 700) reflected in he's account. The next day we both visited the branch to resolve the issue & have access to the funds. The branch consultants logged a query, & the receiver/seller was advised from the ***** team to submit a stamped affidavit, proof of payment and he's ID copy stating where the funds came from. Once all the above documents were completed and submitted, the ***** team confirmed that they would do a recall & within 24/48hrs the money would reflect back into my account(the buyer/sender). 72hrs(3 days) later we both got NO communication from the bank so we decided to visit the branch again to get an update. Once in the branch, the consultant advertised that both(sender & receiver) needs to submit proof of payments, stamped affidavits & ID copies to the branch in order for the ***** team to uplift the stop status on the receivers account so we would have access to the money, or Alternatively process another recall so I(sender) can get my money back. We were promised again the turn around time would be between 24 & 48hrs. A week later we still got NO communication or update from capitec! When we visited the branch again at Diepkloof Square Soweto, the branch manager didn't want to speak to us because she said this situation is too complex for her. The consultant(Mr Thami) said that this situation is way beyond he's knowledge & understanding, he even said that the problem might NEVER be resolved! When we asked the consultant what's next or what's the step, he confirmed that even the ***** department who blocked the receivers account is not understanding this situation and can't advise any longer as to what's needed in order to resolve this situation, the branch consultant said(& I have a recorded video) "The best way for management & ***** department to take you seriously is to log a complaint on hellopeter. I even managed to log a complaint on hellopeter & surprising the bank rep**** within less than 12hrs saying, "your query has been issued to a specialist & the bank will be in contact with you within the next business day". Its almost been a week & still the bank was NOT in contact with me.

Imagine this type of service from your bank, especially when you've been a long & faithful client!!! My money is stucked for almost a full month & yet there's ZERO/NO update or confirmation from the back.

If management sees this message by any chance, please assist in what we(buyer & seller) can do to either access the money or reverse it back into my account. This is totally not fair guys. I'm stressed as to how I'm going to pay rent this money, or worse, how will I mange to buy food to eat. Guys you can't let me starve whilst I'm having money which I can 100% proof where it came from or for what I sent it to the blocked account for!!

Please assist me guys, has any other capitec clients experienced this problem, if so, what other steps or measures can I take to ensure I get my money back, because I honestly just can't leave it like this.
