UNPROCESSED CHEQUE
i am a client with Capitec bank and on the 12th february 2015 i deposited a cheque from my employer who banks with Absa bank for me to buy study materials with. the bank teller said that this cheque will take 7-10 days to process.Today is the 25th February 2015 and the cheque still has not been processed.

The information that was provided to you by the consultant was incorrect. A normal cheque will always be subject to a 14-day clearance period. Unless a client requests for Special Clearance, the funds will normally be available within 4 to10 business days but this period can be extended.
I would like to apologise for the incorrect expectation that was created and for your negative service experience. We will take the necessary remedial actions to address the service that was rendered to you.
