Unfair treatment in terms of credit

I visited the Capitec branch in Southgate to take out the Loan to consolidate my debt that Capitec advertises so well. First of all the sales consultant was unfimi**** with the process as he called the team leader about 4 times. Then he comes back and tells me that the loan is declined based on affordability, was I shocked to say the least because he is sitting with my bank statements in front of him and clearly I have disposable income. When I asked how that is possible, he first tells me it's the system then he tells me because ITC considers my spouses expenses I was declined. Is that even fair? I feel discriminated against and will seek the advice of the regulator as I am not confident in your credit scoring methods and system.
