Unfair Practise

Colett Claassens/Oscar De Villiers I dont expect you to overrule the decision that was made but I want people out there to know that what you have done is unfair, just the fact that you can`t explained the reason for the application being declined because of affordability show to me that what you have done is unfair, the National Credit Act clearly states that you have to give a valid reason if my application for credit has been declined and you have not done so, all the proof is pn the below communication and the emails that was sent to you, so I dont expect you to do anything but I would like customers to know what kind of bank you are,

The worst bank I've ever bank with

Regarding all the below communication,

Oscar de Villiers from the c.e.o's office-capitec bank(if it was ever from the c.e.o's office) came back to me telling me that my application for credit was declined because of affordability, when I asked him to explain to me because after all my expenses and the personal loan I have with capitec, I'm left with more then R5000, he tells me that he can't go into that with me, how can a person with a high authority in a bank not explain the reason for my application for a personal loan being declined, also he refused me the right to speak to the c.e.o, what kind of bank is this, what kind of people is employed by capitecbank if they can't give you as a client; valid reasons for not granting credit to you as a customer, I've decided to change my salary from capitec bank and whoever reads this and you are a customer of capitec, please change your banks, and if you not with capitec don't even consider changing to capitec, I'll rather pay more when it comes to bank charges and be happy and know that I'll be heard and be respected then to be treated unfairly and to have people who are in authority be rude to customers, stay away from capitec bank, they are not worth your money and I wish the c.e.o of capitec bank can come across this in order for him to see how *********** some of his staff are

Unfair Business Practice

by jadrianj 58

Capitec declined my loan because of affordability, I specifically informed the complaints department that your system was showing that I'm under sequestration which I'm not and that might be the reason my application being declined, I was told the second and third time that my application for a loan was declined because of affordability which I couldn't understand, I went to other two credit providers/institutions, gave them the same information I gave capitec, living expenses, etc and I was approved for a personal loan of up to R70000, that's without the settlement quotations, so the loan amount will increase if I'm going to submit the settlement quotation for my personal loan I have with capitec, so please tell me how can my own bank decline me because of affordability and the other two credit providers don't, your system declined me because it was showing I'm under sequestration which I'm not, do you want to loose a loyal client, please refer this matter to the C.E.O of capitec bank

Share

Follow

Like

Request Help

Supercharge

Convert

Official business reply:

Oct 17, 2016

I acknowledge your posting, and have referred it to Pheliwe Baartman for immediate attention.

Feedback will be provided within 3 working days, and I trust that this situation will be resolved to your satisfaction.

Complaint Management

Capitec Bank

Official business reply:

Oct 17, 2016

Good day

Please be advised that this issue was discussed and feedback was provided on 13/10/2016.

I have also responded via email on your earliest post today 17/10/2016.

Pheliwe Baartman

Complaint Management

Capitec Bank

Post a Reply

Post a reply about this review

Would you like to change your star rating?

Post a private reply

Publish

Facebook Comments:

Report this review

Legal |

If my compliant doesn't get referred to your C.E.O, I will post complaints on hello Peter daily, so you have to decide if you going to refer my complaint to the C.E.O of Capitec because I have the right to speak to him if I'm not happy

Share

Follow

Like

Request Help

Supercharge

Convert

Official business reply:

Oct 18, 2016

Good day Mr Jacobs

We acknowledge receipt of your complaint to our CEO’s office.

This matter has been logged with Oscar de Villiers for investigation. Our CEO is aware of this matter.

We cannot elaborate on the exact calculation of our affordability assessment but assure you that this was reviewed on the highest possible level and the outcome did not change. We meet all of the requirements by the National Credit Act. In general our credit granting policy is more conservative than before for reasons already explained in our previous feedback. Credit policies will differ between financial companies which may explain why others are allegedly able to offer you credit. This is not an effort to prejudice you personally but a strategy of the Bank to protect our business from the risk of unsecured lending and our clients from being overextended in already tough economic circumstances.

Unfortunately the outcome of your loan application will not change, irrespective of whether you keep escalating the concern via different channels. I understand this is difficult to accept and realise that from a principle point of view you expected Capitec Bank to assist you in this regard and we are not able to.

I wish things could be different, but we cannot override the outcome of your credit application.

Kind regards

Colett Claassens

Complaint Management
