Unfair Credit Bureau Listing, Unfair treatment as a client

Capitec listed me as a late payer although my account is up to date, I did switched to another bank where the debit order was not updated by the bank. Even though the debit order did not go through I did make an EFT payment on the last day of every month.

Capitec is penalising me for four days late payment as the debit order was on the 26th but payment was made on the 30th. Still at the credit bureau reflect as 30 days late payment for March, April and May even though my account is up to date.

I did contact Capitec to change my bank details myself, and did provide a letter from Standard bank with the account details but Capitec insisted that I provide a bank statement and again was treated unfairly. The overall experience is just terrible and I expected more from a bank like Capitec, I have been a client for more than four years and Capitec made more than R100 000 in interest from me. I have taken out loans before but this is the first time that the term LOAN SHARK comes to mind. Thanks Capitec!!!

Well what can I say, I asked capitec;
Me: Is my account up to date?
Me: was my payment made for those months?
Capitec: Yes
Me: When do you send the payment details to the Credit Bureau?
Capitec: on the 7th of each month
Me: Was my payment made before the 7th
Capitec: yes
Me: Then why was I listed as a late payer?
Capitec: There is no option for four days late payment so we chose 30 days late instead.
Me: But that is unfair
Capitec: ....

Reviewer Update

I had the same issue with African Bank and they had no issue to update the Credit Bureau, and much more willing to assist their clients. Maybe Capitec can learn a thing or two from them.
