Unfair assessment, disorganized and not interested in business
I cannot express how disappointed I am in the service that Capitec has delivered, if I can call it service at all... I app**** for a credit card in December and I got an estimate of R25 000, I then had to wait for someone to contact me, I waited 10 days and then eventually someone contacted me for documents, which I then submitted, only to be declined because of a debt review payment that showed on my bank statement. I then explained that it is my wife's, she is unemployed and under debt review, but we married out of community of property, so her accounts does not affect me. I then went to Hello Peter, because that is not right. Capitec then contacted me and the lady said she will help me, and I need to send her my documents. I then sent her my documents and she said I must wait one month so my salary could show on a third clean FNB bank statement. I then waited and sent my new clean statements to the lady a month later as I was told to do. A different Capitec consultant then contacted me and I asked to speak to the lady that promised that she was going to help me, as she was fami**** with my case, whereupon the consultant said it was impossible to speak to that lady and I would have to wait a month to be assisted by her, but I can explain to her and she will assist me right now. I started explaining the situation and the consultant interrupted me and said I need to cut story short, how do you say this to a client? (All calls are recorded right? Please refer to call) She told me to apply on the app again and she will follow up with me the next day, but she took 3 days to follow up with me, after she even sent me an email that she would contact me the next day. I then took leave from work to go to Capitec Greenstone, because the app said that I need to visit a branch after I reapp****, only to go there and find out that I now qualified for far less, because I was told to reapply the whole time, my estimate dropped from R25 000 to R600. The consultant sent me to FNB and said they will give me something as I am a client with them, almost as if he was not interested in the business, while not even sitting properly on his chair, but almost lying on his back on his chair (Capitec is welcome to go look on the camera for counter 1). I went to FNB to compare fees, but decided to return to Capitec as it is cheaper. I then wanted to continue the application, he gave me an email address to send the documents to, he then disappeared for 15 minutes, eventually returned and said he did not receive anything. We confirmed that I entered the email address correctly, the consultant then just said that the email does not work and I need to go print my documents on the other side of the mall and then come back for a third time. I then decided that enough is enough. I am beyond disappointed with Capitec for unfairly declining me for a debt review that is not mine and does not show on my credit profile at all. I am not happy that I had to wait 10 days, after numerous calls that I had to do myself to find out that I was declined. Then after escalating the matter on Hello Peter, received a phone call from a consultant that tried to assist me, but said that I had to wait another month for my salary to show on the statement, that I dont have a capitec statement with a debt review payment for my wife, because at that that stage I only had two salary drops on FNB. She promised she would help me as soon as my third salary showed on the statement, but that never happened as promised, then to be disrespected by the consultant that said I need to cut my story short when I sent my documents and then to reapply and then to visit a branch, only to be sent to another competitor by another consultant. Then returned to the branch after going to the competitor, only to be sent away to an Internet Cafe to print documents, this truly shows how disorganized Capitec is and how this affected my Credit score to reapply the whole time, dropping my estimate from R25 000 to R600. At the end of the day, I still did not get what I wanted, which is the R25 000 Credit card, wasting my time sending documents to everyone and reapplying the whole time.
