Unauthorized Transaction

I'm immensely disappointed by Capitec and the service that they are offering to me even though I've banked with them from 2014 when I was only 18.

I had an amount of R585 taken from my Capitec account on the 30th of November 2021 while I was at work. I contacted the Client care on that day and the gentleman that I spoke to stated that he can't see any transaction of such an amount taken from my account. I then called again and spoke to a lady who speculated and stated that someone had swiped using my card at Parade Hotel at North Beach. I asked the lady how can someone swipe using my card when my card was in my possession the whole time. I work at Umhlanga and my card was swiped at North Beach. How is that even possible? She then went on to state that she will log an investigation with Card Disputes department which hasn't yielded any great results to say the least. I've sent emails, spoken to their Twitter handle and I keep being told that the investigation is still underway. How can the investigation go on while you don't even contact me to get some information pertaining to the incident? How does my card gets swiped at a location that is 20kms away from me?

The same thing happened to me last year and I had to chase them around for the longest time and they begged me not to close my account. And I was quite dumb for actually believing that the treatment will improve. A year later and I'm still getting money taken from my account without my authorization.

Can my money be returned so I can close off the card for once so I can have some peace in my life. That's all I'm really asking for at this point of time. I'm tired of Capitec, we're barely surviving under this pandemic and yall are just making the situation worse. Some of us really work hard to enough earn that R585. This is depressing to say the least.
