There was an unauthorized Uber One subscription. I was informed that the bank needs to cancel my card, and that I must either visit a Capitec branch or apply for a new card online and pay for it.

My concern is why my bank would accept or authorize a payment without my permission, only to then tell me that I must pay to stop it. This raises serious concerns about the safety of banking with your institution and may force me to consider changing banks.
