Unauthorized cash withdrawal complaint

Hello guys...would like to share my unfortunate episode with everyone who banks with Capitec. I have an account with Capitec...l stay in Midrand Gauteng.on Thursday at 22:48 l received a msg in my fon...l was asleep and actually wanted to ignore the alert...l later thought l need to check ,someone might be in a crisis.. l checked my fon few minutes then noticed thatR4000 was with drawn from my account at Musina. I wondered what was happening coz l had my card with me...11minutes later at 00:11 another msg got in,R5000 was withdrawn again...that's when l realized something was going on wrong...in desperation l went to my app and stopped the card.Early in the morning on Thursday,l was at the bank to report my case. I was assisted by a guy at Phumulani mall....he went into the system to check and it was a card withdrawal, using with the same card number as mine. I wondered how all this happened while l had my card with me...? He made a phone call am not sure to who reporting the complaint. My old card was destroyed and l was issued with a knew one. I was told they will make investigations and l must expect a call within 5 to 14 working days....was shocked.l went back to work. Friday during the day l received an sms saying l must expect a call from a capitec agent within 5days....later during the day,at around 3pm,on theFriday same Friday, l received a call from a white lady (Ari or something)who said she was calling from their headoffice. She told me their system shows that the money was withdrawn without prior checking of the balance which means it's someone who knew there was money in my account,my own card and pin number was used to withdraw the cash from a capitec atm at Musina,in that case the bank can not refund me,so my unauthorized claim is closed 'coz there's no way someone can withdraw money using my card that l claim l had,so it means that person took my card went to Musina, withdraw the money and brought back the card....Like really? I was shocked...the investigation took less than 24hrs,the lady says she's not fami**** with the place,so she doesn't know if there are cameras or not by that ATM at Musina, she says, that was my card and pin so there's nothing they can do to assist me. Guys it's festive season, the ****s are on and running ....Capitec's security system is not to be trusted, how can my money be withdrawn in Musina, while l stay in Joburg,l had my card that l presented to the bank as soon as they opened? What investigation did capitec do to help me get back my money? Can't they check how does this happen to stop it? Must l be made to believe it's an inside job? Doesn't Capitec know about ***** and clowning of bank card? Do they really care about thei clients? Surely, this is shocking!!!how many clients does capitec have country wide? If they ***** 9000 from me,how much do they make from all their clients? can they just close my claim just like that?. According to the information l got from the lady from the department, they just checked the system, nothing more,no efforts to investigate further.... I warn every Capitec client,do something, withdraw your monies, close your accounts or do something... our money is not safe at all with capitec,l swear....!The festive season is here,if our banks r doing nothing to protect us and our money we keep with them thinking its safe...then what's the purpose saving with them? I mean, this person was smart,he/she waited for midnight...so s/he can withdraw the maximum for Wednesday and soon after 12midnight it's a new day then got the maximum for that day...it was unfortunate for him/her her on Wednesday l had withdrawn R1000 after 12 in the afternoon at Ivory Park,Tembisa,Gauteng, so a maximum of 5000 was denied him with the first draw.....l have a strong belief capitec does not care what happens with our monies we keep with them,so people,be warned...am closing my account,l can't just lose R9000 within minutes and the service provider does not take it seriously......people,bw warned!
