Unable to withdraw

I could not withdraw cash, I than decided to go to Capitec Bank branch in Alberton. They check on the system and said the is not money in my account but give me a bank statement. On my bank statement it shows that money was transferred to other Capitec bank account, airtime was bought for different cell phone numbers. Please assist me, I want my money back, I can’t pay my account, bills or do anything. I am going to take this father and report it to OMBUDSMAN, Daily Sun and all the other.

Capitec said they will investigate and come back to me after 11 days but nothing till yesterday I when back to the branch and they called head office and the answer I got was that they can’t assist or refund my money. When I ask why because they have all the information to trace, the cell phones number, the prepaid meter number that they used to buy electricity from my account but I did not get a straight answer.

Hi Evelyn

In relation to our telephonic conversation earlier on today, Capitec Bank cannot be held liable for ********** transactions on clients’ accounts under circumstances where the Bank was neither a party to the transactions nor in a position to prevent it. Unfortunately the biggest factor remains that your PIN and card was compromised in some way which is why these transactions were authorised.

If you have opened a case with the SAPS then they will conduct an investigation in an effort to track down the actual *********(s) involved in this unfortunate incident.Once again I do apologise for the inconvenience and frustration this matter might have caused you.
