Transfer to a wrong account - Incident number: ***1

Im having a terrible experience with capitec bank. On the 4th of March i transfered money into the incorrect account , I went to the South gate branch to reverse the amount they lodged a recall with an external bank which is ABSA. I was told the recall will take from 5 to 7 working days to be resolved .

To date the number of days since the recall was lodged is 11. I followed up with customer care everytime i call i get a deffent agent who does not know the processes, tell me different timeline , they still waiting for an external bank for feedback. Do they follow up with the external bank NO , if the external bank doesn't cooperate "customer care "still wait, that's all i've been hearing from capitec "customer care "for the passed 2 weeks . No communication to the customer. As much as they dont follow up with external banks they also not updating their clients with the progress on an incident . Terrible im very dissappointed and sad with capitec service. Proof of payment was submitted to the branch where the recall was lodged . I've been told that the recall might be accepted or rejected. this is rediculous and unacceptable to clients at the same time on the 14th of March an amount of R120 was deducted from my account as recall service fee. What service if i have to follow up with capitec bank daily and the incident is open and not resolved . If capitec bank charge me for a service fee i expect service from them which im not getting at this point. Capitec proved that the amount was tranfered from my account to Absa account , tracing back on transactions i havent paid money into that account for the period of three years Should customer struggle so much for their money at the same time pay "service Fee" for bad service. An amount of R757 .00 is a lot i will not rest until the money is back in my account . It is my right as an account holder to request reversals and debits .

Further more instate of " customer care " providing customers with correct and reliable information they share clients private information with other clients. To my supprise to receive a settlement letter that was addressed to one of capitec clients on email. So unprofessional and uncceptable.

Hope this issue is resolved soon.

Capitec bank received a response from Magda Van Zyl (ABSA) that their beneficiary which is
Envoy Services South Africa PTY LTD has refused the right to debit. I tried contacting this company their contact number on the internet does not exit. ABSA was providede with proof of payment and should investigate on how many transaction from the payee were done previously to that account and the reference number used . This is common with ABSA where they dont want to reverse payments done incorrectly to their clients accounts . This is literally *****ing and *****.
I dont have any deallings with Envoy Services South Africa PTY LTD and to be transfering the money to their account . The amount was supposed be transfered to Zando and they changed their banking details. How possible is that an account can be given to another compay when is closed . I have used this account previously paying Zando they now using a diffent account number. this amount should have bouced . More so this company show as an overseas company this could be a **** hense they refusing to return the funds. Im very disgusted with ABSA for not investigating this transection, for ABSA to say their client refuses doesnt want to give authority to debit the should be questions asked and not to leave matter like that . This could be a *****ulant transaction and ABSA would not be able to identify it . I want my money back , ABSA must investinge this transaction. What Envoy Services South Africa PTY LTD is doing is *****ing / ***** .
ABSA should investigate this feather and return the amount R757.00 to Capitec bank client.
Envoy Services South Africa PTY LTD has no right to keep this funds that doesnt belong to them , this is called *****ING , ******* DAY LIGHT. Hope Magda Van Zyl contact person for ABSA will be able to resolve this. This is unacceptable I will be taking this matter further .
