Torn R200 note from atm

On 9 July I visited mall @ carnival in Brakpan. I am a Capitec client and l wanted to withdraw money from the Capitec Atm, however it was offline. I then went to a Standard Bank atm and withdrawn R2200.

Only the next day I've noticed that one of the R200 notes are badly torn. I don't understand how an atm can give torn notes. I've tried to use this note but no shops want to accept it. On 11 july I went to a Standard Bank branch to see if they can assist me, however I was told to go to Capitec. After waiting for a long time fo speak to a consultant at Capitec I was told they can't assist me because I had to report the torn note within 60 minutes and that I had to make sure that all the notes were fine after visiting the atm. This had never happened to me before and I am upset that Capitec can't help me. I am unemployed and I desperately need the R200 to be replaced.
