This message is addressed to both FNB and Capitec. I would like to thank FNB for their understanding during my financial difficulty. After my mutual separation, I continued paying my loan from my provident fund. FNB acknowledged this and refunded my payments while writing off the balance, which I truly appreciate. My experience with Capitec has been very different. After submitting all documents and requesting a temporary payment break, they attempted to debit ±R41,000 daily from my account despite insufficient funds, resulting in repeated penalty fees. Although my loan insurance was up to date, I was told after missing one month that I am now fully liable. My mutual separation was also not accepted despite proof of pending retrenchment. I request that Capitec review my case and assist fairly.
