Suspicious processing of applying for finance

Hi I'm Taahir Heyns I went to buy a car at the dealership Mel's motors and I was informed that we are going to see if I qualify for car finance. They took me to Capitec in Gugulethu. I was informed that they are linked with Capitec.

On our arrival my wife was told not to come close to the consultant because it would jeopardize my chances of getting the finance. When we got there the sales person (Mels) greeted all the consultants took my papers and told the consultant "you know what to do" and that I should have a seat. He was walking around and buying cool drinks for who ever wanted, it gave me the impression he knew everybody.

He told the consultant the amount and what to open; I was also told that the minute I get the finance I will get the car. When consultant called for me she never ask me any questions she just told me where to sign and went to place my finger on the scanner, she never explained anything nor asked for any of my expenditure.

This is my first time; I thought this was how things were done and how these were structured. I was just sitting there and he did all the talking on my behalf.

She then asked me to transfer the money and I responded "I don't know how”, she took my phone and did the transaction to Mel's motors.

I thought this was the way it worked and that I was excited to get the car but the way I feel is that I was coned in to this , and forced because I was told I would see if I qualify until my mother in law said it was not car finance but it was actually a loan.

That's when I realized something went wrong at the bank. I went to find out by another Capitec branch and I was informed that everything was done wrong and I feel that the deal and everything else was done wrong. Another suspicious act was driving all the way from Goodwood to Gugulethu to apply for finance and driving past all the other Capitec branches. Everything now appeared to be suspicious and is it common practice for dealerships to deal with Capitec consultants on my behalf? I was also approved for a credit card in addition to my loan.

All I want is someone to give me a call regarding the matter because my salary wouldn't allow me to get such a huge amount of a loan due to my previous efforts of applying at standard bank which was unsuccessful. I would like this matter to be resolved urgently and I want to know what the standard operating procedure is when applying for finance at Capitec as my customer experience seems rather ********* and very suspicious. I feel I was given a loan not to accommodate my salary and expenses, but the accommodate the dealership.

I can't afford this debt and I would like for this matter to be sorted urgently
