Subject: Urgent Request for Assistance Regarding Unfair Debarment by Capitec Bank

I am writing to seek your assistance with a serious issue regarding my unjust debarment by Capitec Bank. I was employed by Capitec from 2019 until October 2021. During this period, I was falsely accused of wrongdoing and subsequently debarred. Under pressure, I accepted a Mutual Separation deal with assurances that I would not be blacklisted but merely placed on the REDS list. I was promised compensation for all my dues, including UIF, and a positive reference to facilitate my future employment in the financial sector.

Unfortunately, these promises were not honored. The statement leading to my debarment was not provided by the client but was written by my then-manager. The client, who is willing to provide an affidavit, can confirm that the allegations against me are unfounded. Additionally, when I requested the recording of the hearing, I was informed by the forensic department that the recordings were no longer available and was directed to HR. However, HR did not respond and instead issued debarment letters.

It seems my manager targeted me because of my high performance, which she perceived as a threat. I did not participate in any pyramid schemes nor did I recruit or advise the client to join such schemes. The client chose to invest in a different scheme instead of the genuine cryptocurrency investment I recommended. I assisted the client with a money transfer, which was a legitimate part of my duties, and sent the proof of payment to my email for convenience, as we were prohibited from sending client documents directly to BOFF at that time.

Capitec Bank and its forensic department did not follow the FSCA’s debarment process properly. They did not allow me to challenge the verdict within the 10 working days as required. As a result, my career has been unfairly obstructed, and I have been struggling to find employment for the past two years.

As the sole breadwinner for my family, this situation has caused immense financial and emotional strain. I kindly request your help in clearing my name so that I can find employment and provide for my family.
