*Subject: Gross Negligence - Consultant Error on Credit Card Limit - Meyerton Branch*
Capitec Bank Meyerton Branch,
How can your staff be this ***********?
In *January* I requested a R7,000 increase on my credit card and my limit was increased.
By *end of March* I had that R7,000 available again. I went to Capitec Meyerton and clearly told the lady at the desk: _“Remove the R7,000 increase and put my credit limit back to the original R33,000.”_
Instead, she *reduced my entire limit to R7,000*.
How the hell does a trained consultant make that mistake?
For *2 months* I’ve been fighting to fix this mess. I came into the branch 3 times. I phoned countless times. Finally a staff member admitted on record: _“We made a mistake. We did not decrease it to R33,000, we dropped it to R7,000. This was our error, not yours.”_
Now you want me to do a *new credit assessment* with ID + payslip? That’s insane. This was *your branch’s mistake*. Why must I prove affordability again for a limit I already had and that you wrongly removed?
A staff member even told me they will “email it through” but there’s no guarantee. For 2 months your branch admitted fault, yet nothing has been fixed.
This is negligence, madness, and completely unacceptable. Fix my limit back to R33,000 immediately without new assessments, or escalate this to your manager and complaints department today.
I expect urgent feedback.

Capitec Meyerton Branch,
Your employees clearly have no clue what they’re doing.
In *January* I asked for a R7,000 credit card increase. My limit went from R33,000 to R40,000.
In *April* I walked into Meyerton Branch and told the consultant *twice*: _“Remove the R7,000 increase. Put my limit back to R33,000.”_
Instead, she *slashed my entire limit to R7,000* and didn’t even tell me. Now when I transfer money from my main account to my credit card it shows R0.00 available. The card is useless.
For *2 months* I’ve been chasing this. I phoned Capitec countless times. I came to the branch repeatedly. Nobody could explain anything. Only last Friday did a lady at Meyerton Branch finally admit what happened.
Yesterday they tried a “new credit assessment” to get my limit back to R33,000. It failed. Limit is stuck on R7,000.
Then they called CAT. And the *same consultant who caused this mess* **** to them. She told CAT “that’s what the client wanted” - making it sound like I asked for a R7,000 limit. She didn’t admit it was her fault. Now CAT says they can’t fix it.
All day yesterday all your staff wanted was to push a loan on me. 3 to 4 times. The loan offer is “still standing”. I don’t want a loan. I want you to fix the damage your consultant caused.
A consultant messed up my credit card. Capitec + CAT can’t fix it. This is a disaster. It’s not my fault. I told her *twice* to put it back to R33,000.
This is negligence and it’s unacceptable. Restore my R33,000 limit immediately without new assessments, or escalate this to your manager and complaints department today.
