Struggling to open an account

Last week I went to the bank and asked what should I bring to open an account, I was told to bring my identification book, proof of residence and a letter from college stating that I'm a student. Today. I went to the branch with all those documents and I was told that my Iditentity book is old and have to bring parents identity copies and they must sign a from from the bank too, I stay more than 600 kilometers away from college I need to open an account so I could get money to renew my identity dook<br>
