Stillborn claim rejection

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and distress regarding the handling of my stillbirth claim for my baby girl. Born at 28 weeks, weighing 675g, she was a precious life that we will never forget.

According to your funeral policy, the claim is rejected because my baby was born "at" 28 weeks. However, this policy makes no mention of weight being a factor. It's appalling that my claim was rejected based on this arbitrary criterion.

What's even more disturbing is the lack of communication from your team. I had to visit the branch to inquire about the status of my claim, only to discover that it had been rejected. If I hadn't taken the initiative, I would still be unaware of the outcome.

As a grieving parent, it's unacceptable to face such insensitive treatment. Your policy clearly states the terms, yet you seem to be looking for loopholes to avoid paying claims. This experience has left me feeling disheartened and betrayed.

I urge you to review your policy and handling procedures to ensure that clients receive fair and compassionate treatment.

Dear Capitec Team,

I'm extremely disappointed and hurt by the lack of follow-through on your promises. Despite assurances that I would receive a call on January 30th, I'm still waiting - and it's now February 3rd.

This experience has left me feeling disrespected and unvalued as a customer. I'm seriously considering canceling my insurance policy, as it seems that my concerns and needs aren't being taken seriously.

I hope you can understand my frustration and take immediate action to address this issue.

Sincerely,
Malefane GL
