Shocking communication

On 24 November (two weeks ago, already) an unauthorized amount of about R700 was deducted from my account. I immediately phoned Capitec and they advised me that a dispute would be registered and my card would be cancelled. I also contacted the vendor who acknowledged their mistake and immediately voided the transaction. They advised that because they never actually took the money it would reflect in my account in two to three days. This hasn't happened and nobody at Capitec is giving me answers. I eventually got hold of Odwaba Mutuzula who told me to email her directly which I did three days ago (tomorrow will be four). My email included the transaction"void" code from the vendor. It is totally unacceptable that you can sit with my money in one of your suspense accounts for two weeks, and not give me any feedback. Bank Zero, here we come.....my complaint number is ***9

It is now 4 days since I sent proof of the transaction being voided to Odwaba, and I have followed up with her numerous times. She totally ignored my emails

Like I said, a standard reply from Capitec, but no contact as promised. Imagine what reputation I would get if I made a promise of payment, and then didn't make it? And yet Capitec can break promises with impunity. Gerrie Fourie, you should be ashamed of your people
