******* Using Capitec Bank Account-No Help To Victim
Let me explain the situation to you. At the moment I do bank with FNB, but my father who lives on a farm banks with Capitec. I needed money that day and could not wait 2-3 days for a transfer or for my father to go to town. So I asked around and found my friend's son who said he had a Capitec Bank account. I asked if my Father could send me some money to his bank account. My father is also Capitec. The money was for a new place I need to move into at the end of the month. My father sent the money (R5,000) and the guy said that he was in Paarl and the he had left his card at home in Worcester and he would get it to me by 7. Before 7 he contacted me and said that a "Gym" had debited him R4,500 and that he was sorry about this and that in the morning he would go to Capitec and have the Debit reversed. Next day he came he said the bank said they could not reverse the payment. The guy gave me R500 and has been avoiding my requests for the rest of the money. Capitec said I should go make a case at the SAPS (It has been 7 days since the incident) My thing is this guy's account is still open whilst it is obvious he is using this account to con people out of money. Two other people have told me similar stories where he promised to order something for them, when they sent the money he gave them the same story. Surely Capitec Bank wants clients that are honest and that don't use their banking system for *****. As it stands now. My electricity has been switched off, there is basically no food in the house, and I am to ashamed to ask my Dad for more money as they do not have all that much. Can Capitec Bank just pick up the phone and phone the client then ask the Client what the HECK is going on? I need my money!!
