****med at one of their ATM's but they are not taking responsibility

on Wednesday 23 august 2017 my wife was a victim of card skimming at capitec ATM in Alexandra, she was in a line at the atm and there were 3 men infront of her and a woman behind, then when it was her turn she approached the ATM and put her car inside (and it seemed like there was a device jamming the atm) then one of the gentlemen entered the ATM booth and told her the ATM might be faulty and she must press her pin number so that her card can be returned by the ATM. she did that but her pin was showing on the screen, then the gentlemen disappeared. it was only then that she realized what was happening and she rushed to the nearest brunch only to find it closed as it was after five, she called me her husband (maano) to call capitec and stop her card as she had no airtime, but by the time drooped the call she received an sms saying money was transferred from one of her account(charity) to her savings account then another message saying R3000 had beeN withdrawn. She went to capitec the following day to get a new card were she was told that shes not the only person who was ****med at that ATM and that they will do a proper investigation, a lady called her today 28-08-2017 saying that they got the footage from the ATM showing that the ATM had been compromised but she was told that it was her fault and she wont be reimbursed. i just need someone to take responsibility and tell us how is that her fault because it clearly shows the ATM was compromised and shes not the only victim. as capitec clients we expect the atms to be monitored and closed if they are not properly maintained, we do not know of skimming devices and we think it is well within our rights to ask for a proper investigation idani raphunga ********** 602 ********** 917969
