****ed through Capitec Bank

I received a sms today about a transaction I did not make to the amount of 18981. I went to the branch immediately as I was already in the area. When I got there I asked them to tell me what had happened. They told me that my card number and CVV has been compromised. I asked them what the way forward is. I got a surprising answer: "it's unfortunate, but there's nothing we can do". WOW.

I would advise you not to make use of the bank as ********** can have an open season with your hard earned cash. I did not receive any OTP to confirm the transaction. Really shocking. I was banking with capitec for more then 10 years, since high school. I guess that's the problem. It's a play bank for kids savings accounts, not for adults.
