Rude teller who refused to accept deposit.
Tuesday 20 April 2021 I and my four years old son visited the Ga-rankuwa branch to make deposit of R400 and the money was in coins, hence 50cents amounted to R70 were packed in sets of R10's and remaining coins were packed in R1, R2 and R5 denominations. The problem was the rude teller(Her name is Previous) who refused to accept the deposit saying I must sort out the coins myself, thus I asked for the manager ( Gomolemo) to come and intervene as I had already asked the teller to rather assist me in packing the coins in order to save time as I had to fetch my other children from school at 2pm. However, the manager insisted that I pack the coins myself, hence I asked if that wasn't the teller's job? Thus, I need clarity on this issue-1.When clients are making deposit, isn't part of the teller's job description to sort out the money being deposited? 2. Are tellers not trained to show empathy towards clients,in my case I was with a four years old child and explained that I have fetch other children from school.
