On 31/07/2017 at 20:31 I withdrew R400 at Maponya Capitec ATM (the one on the outside of the mall). It dispensed a receipt reading: Transaction Declined. Insufficient funds. However, funds were available in the account AND funds went off the account.
I logged a complaint with a branch in Rissik Street Johannesburg, and I was given incident# ********** 6 and was told that I will get feedback in 8 to 15 days.
15 days passed and no feedback was given so I went back to the branch and I was told that the incident was closed. "Ok, where's my money" I asked, they told me the money was dispensed by the ATM.
When was the money dispensed, I have a receipt that reads: transaction declined, insufficient funds. How does an ATM releases such a receipt yet dispenses money. The response thereof was "call the ombudsman". "Ok can I have the ombudsman's number"? "We don't have it, google it" that's the response.
