Ridiculous!!

Stood like a fool at Pnp trying to pay for my groceries and my card kept declining, but received sms's that the money had gone off. After the 3rd attempt I said maybe Capitec is offline let me run to the bank - luckily there is a capitec bank in the mall - just to be told that they are not offline, but there were 10 other people having the exact same problem! Tried drawing money from the atm, kept declining and then the atm's went blank! Offline! I had to go draw money from an ABSA atm to go pay for my groceries! Now knowing that the system glitches sometimes and later on corrects the amount in your bank account I left it. Later I got 2 correction sms's, yet it makes no sense that after the 2 correction sms's I still don't have all my money back! After the 2, I only got back like 20% of my money.

I then tried phoning the customer service line, finally getting through, I explained my situation and was told that I need to answer security questions. I had no problem doing that. Until I got asked for a supplementary email adress that I had no clue about, but instead of giving me some time to think, she said sorry I am now locked out of the system she can no longer help me. She wouldn't put me through to a supervisor or anyone, I was just told that I can phone back in 24hrs with the correct info or go into the bank. Okay so now I'm sitting without money because of Capitec's system! Not everyone has the luxury of owning more cards or having cash lying around. I couldn't do other important things because I had no money left, and the correct amount wasn't sent to me. I think it is absolutely shocking that I am being inconvienced this way and that it now becomes my problem to drive around after Capitec. I get there is security in place for certain reasons, but my word, I can't be helped because of a supplementary email adress?! So I will go into the bank to sort this out, and as soon as that's done, I will be closing my account! I have never experienced this no care attitude before from capitec, but definitely not going to tollerate it.
