Retrenchment insurance ****

My husbands company closed (there is nothing anymore, doors closed). We received news that the company might close so they can take voluntarily Retrenchment, we did not take that option. The time came months after that where they gave all letters that the place is going to close and it will now be retrenchment for the rest. We have a letter from work stating clearly it was retrenchment and even the UIF form shows the code for retrenchment. Now that we handed in the forms Capital gave a letteru husband had to fill in. There he wrote voluntary retrenchment - he is not in admin and not used to filling in forms, but the official documents still all state retrenchment. Just my husbands mistake made this whole thing to be declined. Not taking in work and UIF documents. They don't care as much as we explain. Our problem is the only income we have now is UIF and they will obviously take everything. It's not that we want to avoid paying, they can just put it on hold till he is employed again - but no.

We have been loyal clients, and this is how they treat us. The whole "insurance" thing is unfair and one big **** if they can decline something that my husband that doesn't work with these things fill in a wrong word. Ignoring all other VALID documents.
