Request to remove code
I had a loan with Capitec in 2008. In 2009 there was recession in South Africa and I got retrenched and struggled to pay it. I lost everything including furniture that I bought on high purchase. I even had to drop off at varsity as I could not afford the fees. I had since paid my loan. I'm even having properties now, my finances are stable for the past 12 years. I also managed to study until PhD. I still have a bank account with Capitec. I'm requesting Capitec to remove the code that is denying me access to credit. I have a well paying job and investment properties. I am pleading for you to consider removing the code. I can provide proof of retrenchment.

It is unfortunate that your bank can't accept my request. The saddest part is to consider a 16-year credit history and conclude that a person will never get credit again but is fine. People's financial situations do change. I did not ask to be retrenched in 2009. I have maintained a clean credit record for over 10 years. Thank you for taking time to respond.
