Refused to assist when I've been ****med

I found a rental on Facebook and agreed with the person who posted the adverti*****t. The landlord to move in on the 25th of Nov 2023. When I got to the area I got lost and called him. He met us with myself and the driver. With my furniture loaded ready to move in. As we drove to the house he asked me to make a payment and I did. The sum of R1000.00. From my Capitec Acc to his. Upon arrival the apartment was already occupied and he said I can store my items in a already clustered room and keep checking when the tenants have moved out. I immediately asked for a refund but he assured me the tenants will be out the next day. Which until today 01/12/2023 they are not out. I incurred further costs to move my things and find another rental. I called Capitec and followed their advise to get a affidavit and open a ***** case. The police station under jurisdiction is currently under renovation and do not have access to the system / computers. This the branch acknowledged. But still refuse to assist me. They have been giving me a run around.
