refusal of bank to take responsibility of their poor cyber security for their internet banking.,

on the 05/03/2022 i lost my phone and someone was able to access my banking app and take all my money , i reported this to capitec at one of their branches and told the consultant that i do not have access to my app or phone. money was then sent to my account by a friend and the person was able to once again take money from my account,. i than called the ***** line at capitec and asked how this person was able to take more money when i have already reported that my phone is lost and someone is busy ******** my account.

Today i received a call from one of their consultants that pretty much told me the money lost the first time around is my problem and they will not refund any of that money. this is they app where are the security measures to make sure its not easy for people to do such,.

second thing he tells me he is still going to investigate why my internet bankiing was not blocked the day i reported this issue and the people were able to access my account again. im confused cause he can see i reported the issue that day why would i than get this activated same day when i know an investigation is being done. why does he need to investigate something so simple. its obvious they do not want to give me my money. my flat mate was also almost ****med attar she visited one of the branches in midrand( a branch that is now closed for some reason) . which concerns me about the security issues with this company and how many more PIOPPIA breaches they are will to allow.

i will not let this go i will report it as far as i can and make sure every person i can reach knows about this service.

i will further more not bank with them after this disgusting display of uselessness,
