R500 retained by CAPITEC BANK

Thank you @hellopeter for this platform. Right now I'm furious, disappointed and hurt. A few hours back I was trying to deposit R500 at Capitec ATM at Westgate Mall, Roodeport in Johannesburg. I inserted my money as the ATM required then it requested the account number which I entered, to my surprise the person I was depositing to was not the person that appeared on the screen (it turns out the account number and the person's name were correct, just that the gentleman did not inform me that he is using somebody else's account) while I was trying to call this person to find out if he provided me with the correct account the ATM kept asking whether I need more time which I eventually rep****: No (because I had found out the information was actually correct and needed to continue with the transaction but instead it was cancelled and no money came out of the machine) THE CAPITEC ATM retained my money.

I went inside the bank to report this incident, AGAIN to my surprise NO-ONE could help me. The lady who was assisting me called someone (God knows who) and he said an investigation will take place and I have to wait up to 30 days to get feedback...mind you this does not guarantee that I will get my money back because 1. there's no proof (no cameras by the atms, only the centre cameras, no receipt and there was no consultant next me

2. They have to balance (my take is that if they balance with my R500 then they probably won't refund me because there's no extra R500 on their side or they can simple just advise that an investigation has been conducted and finds no money owed to me

I then threw tantrums ofcourse, yelled at the lady as well as the Assistant Manager as I was desparate to get my money. The assistant told me the Manager has gone home and they don't work with ATMs so he can't help me. I then insisted for him to call somebody, escalate this to a higher person who is available because I NEED MY MONEY. The lady consultant called the branch manager who is at another branch at the same Mall. I was now advised that I will get feedback in 2-3 days while they are busy with investigations.

Quetion is: what do I do in the meantime, while there is not even a guaratee that I will get my money back, what would you do? Mind you I had to deposit another R500 to the gentleman at the same organization, My goodness, God knows I didnt want to, but unfortunately for me this guy needed this money urgently.
