R 200.00 note turn

I went to Capitec bank Ranburg with a R 200.00 note that's torn side where it states that its a south African note.. i wanted to deposit it to my bank account as it was withdrawn a few weeks ago .. The manager told me that the reserve bank won't allow it ... i don't really understand how because all the number are still there.. i got full information and that R 200.00 its full value.. If the manager doesn't know of this information at the bank .. This money is from my back account.. i need help in understanding why Capitec Bank can't assist if our banks work with the reverse bank ...
