Poor service, I'm a very angry client!
I have been getting *****ulent transactions from UBER eats or people disguising themselves as UBER eats from my account since the 26th of May and the amount was R36.20 and it appeared as UBER on my bank statement. The moment I saw this I went to the branch the following day and the branch is located at Palm Springs Mall, Shop 56 R551 &, Fig Rd, Stretford, Vereeniging. One of the consultants suggested that I change my card number because in that way they will not have access to my account. I changed the card and of course I had to pay the card replacement fee. On the 10th of June I got another deduction from uber eats for R129.90 and I went to Capitec the same day, to tell them that these people still have access to my account even though I changed the card number. They told me to close my online purchases and put them on 0 and only increase them once I want to buy, and they changed my card once again, which came at a charge. On the 11th of June they took R74.14 and on the 19th of June I had R141.35 left in my account and uber eats tried deducting R157.02 which exceeded my balance, they proceeded to attempt again with a lesser amount and deducted R131.98 successfully. I went to the very same branch, very frustrated because I felt like the staff members were very ***********, every time I told them to close my account, they would tell me that it's a long process. I got a different consultant that told me that Uber is force debiting me and they should've not been changing my card number because it doesn't change anything. I told him that he should close my account, but he said that because there are pending payments in my account, it will not be possible, and I should come back the following week which was understandable. of course, this is my only account, and I was still receiving money from loved ones, I had my last money for the month and uber eats deducted R278.37 from account and I went back to the branch fuming! because I was not helped, and this thing was going on for way too long. I told one of the consultants that I want all of my money back because money does not grow on trees. It was the first time receiving an incident number from Capitec because they clearly took me as a mad person from the beginning. I went to go check up on the incident on Tuesday the 24th and still nothing was resolved, instead they said they haven't gotten feedback and that thing was supposed to take 48hrs. I was told to call on the Capitec app because they don't have enough access, and I still got an *********** consultant that didn't want to understand when I told her that I've last used my uber eats app probably three years ago, even when I log on to the uber eats app those transaction don't show. This uber eats company keeps trying to debit my account but it is declining because I don't have money in there. I want to know what Capitec does for the clients that come complaining about such things because we trust you with our money. I want my money back and I will not let it slide because I know it is possible to get it back, but I've been assisted by a bunch of lazy people, they should also pay me back for the R70s that they have been taking to renew the cards for ****. I received an SMS saying that my incident request has been completed, How??? when nothing was done. If you can't solve lousy money like this, what would happen if they deducted my whole salary, because the only reason why I still have an account there is because it was too late to change banking details at work. I am very disappointed, and I am taking this to the ombudsman.
