Poor service

On the 17th of April 2025 i received a transfer of R60 000 onto my capitec account, I was not aware of where the funds came from upon realizing that no one is coming forward to have sent these funds to me I then took it upon myself to go to a capitec nearest branch to report these funds since I didn't know where they came from. I got to the branch late and it was already closed. Since we were approaching Easter weekend I came back to the branch the following week and my App was put on pause and I was unable to us my card as well.

When I got to the branch I learned that my account was closed because of the R60 000 that I was transferred I declared that I did not know where the R60 000 came from and I was asked if I give permission for the funds to be reversed back to the sender and I granted that permission. To have my account reinstated I had to make an Affidavit which I did and submitted to a capitec branch and my account was opened.

Now when I put money into my capitec account I am unable to use it, I have went to the branch,called the customer care but I cannot get any assistance instead I am told to come back with a proof of payment from the sender and I do not know that send, I am also a victim as much as he is.

Now I am told that my account has a hold of R60 000 but the R60 000 was returned to the sender. I have tons of reference numbers and I do not get any assistance instead I get the same feedback everytime.

This has caused so much inconvenience in my life as I have debit orders that suppose to run off from this account and they always get insufficient funds.
