poor response

I deposited a 1000 Rand at an ATM in kollonade mall Pretoria in the morning at around 9 am and the ATM jammed. I quickly rush to the branch the lady who helped me phoned the HQ and they told to comeback after 3 hrs and I did so and was told thatthe technician had retrieved 1000 From the ATM in the presence of the branch manager but to my surprise 600 has been deposited into my account I am told to wait 24hrs for the HQ to investigate . The question is investigating what because this in an emergency I have to pay my rental bill like yesterday I am extremely disappointed
