poor quality of bank cards issued by the bank

7 months ago I had my card replaced as it was declared damaged today I go to pay for some stuff and the card is being rejected by any ATM I went into the bank and spoke to the manager and she wasn't helpful all she can tell me is that I need to pay R50 to have it replaced I asked them is there some sort of warranty on the card and they tell me no I mean that's absurd I asked that means if I get a new card today and tomorrow I find it disfunctional again will I be liable to pay and they say yes and I find that totally ********* why should we pay for poor quality of cards manufactured by tha damn bank is Capitac trying to make money out of this ?
I've had my ABSA bank card for years and it never gave me such issues until it reached expiry date my Capitac card expiry date is 2018 if you know you produce poor quality cards just to make an additional R50 they the expiry date might as well be every 7 months .
I'm not going to pay that amount again failing which I will close my account and take my business elsewhere all I want is a hassle free bank with less ******** can you imagine the embarrassment if not being able to pay for your meal or petrol whe you have money in the bank nonsense
