Placed my salary on hold
On the 20 October I opened a bank account with Capitec and was also encouraged to switch my salary to the account. As I was starting a new job on the 1 November 2015 I took the advice to use the new Capitec Account out to receive my salary. My salary was paid into y Capitec Account on the 20 November 2015 <br> my new employer. Capitec has decided to hold my salary. I went into a branch and was informed that I will need to produce proof of payment for my funds to be released. They say because the account is less than 30 days old and an amount greater than R10000 had been deposited into my account I have to produce proof that the funds were deposited by my employer yet this is not in the contract I signed with them . This has greatly inconvenienced me as now I have to wait till Monday to ask for my payslip or letter from my employer in order to access my salary. I work in Pretoria and live in Krugersdorp I do not have time during the week to visit a bank. I am very disappointed in Capitec's lack of attention to detail. They don't try to make things easy for customers nor do you try and be transparent as possible.
