On hold status

I got a call from Capitec about update with my card ,& I was told that my card will remain on hold forever with my Money 💰 I don’t understand what is that & how come they cannot fix my card I’m terrified cause I need the money ASAP & it’s been 3 months now with a hold status I fail to understand what is going on & how come they can’t help me.
