No interest

The beginning of this year I opened up a fixed account with them for a year’s savings. 5 to 6 to I realize that my money is not growing, went to the branch to go and enquire. To my surprise I find out that the little interest is going into my savings account?. Why would I save and require Capitec to pay the very little interest into my savings account? That interest does not even make a difference in my finances! That person who opened my fixed account needs to answer on why did he choose that option on my behalf. Honestly there is no reason now for saving if I won’t get interest. Why would Capitec let poor people down?
