Never use the capitec virtual card for any online transactions.

On the 26/11/2024 I used my virtual card to buy a takkie at "lacoste online".For the purchase I used my card number on my virtual card.

I received my takkie, I wasn't pleased with the size so I returned it via courier for a refund.

Lacoste refunded the amount of R1750 with no hassle and they even sent me a proof of payment . They used the same card number on my virtual card to refund me. Today is the 31/12/2024 and I still have not received that amount.

What I'm displeased about is that your virtual card is linked to your main account, when you do an online purchase using your virtual card the money gets taken directly from your main account, when a refund is made using the same virtual card numbers I would expect that the money should also go straight to your main account the same way it came out!

I'm being told that there is an investigation that needs to occur, and if I am unsuccessful I will pay an amount of R80! This I feel is unfair, my money (R1750) is sitting in Limbo, now they are going to add (R80) to that.. So what happend to my money that was refunded to me??? When it's a refund Why isn't the virtual card number linked to your main account exactly like how it is linked to your main account when you are buying stuff using your virtual card!!
