name still shows on I.T.C after 19 months

I had a loan account with capitec bank which i have settled on the 06-02-2014 and i have the settlement letters to prove it,but i have recently tried toe apply for motor finance and it was found that my name stil appears on the I.T.C that i owe the bank i have contacted the bank and spoke to nelson zweni which informed me that there are a lot of diffrent credit bereus and that i as the customer must go and find out which one is still reflecting my name,and this upsets me because i honoured our agreement by paying what i owed and they were the ones that put me on the I.T.C now they need me to do their job for them because i feel they need to sort it out and get my name clear
