Most expensive Bank in South Africa

I recently was fooled into the myth, Capitec is a low cost bank, user friendly and a bank for the "little" guy! 2 weeks ago I needed to pay for a service rendered in Namibia. I tried to do so in Namibia and could not. Neither via transfer, money sending or any other form. Fortunately the other party trusted me and let me return to S.A. When I spend about 15min on a paid call as there is no tollfree number for this, I was informed I have to open another acc first, and than pay R5009 yes FIFE HUNDRED rand to do so!!! Not only did my daughter the transaction within 2 min from her phone with another South African bank, she was charged less than R10!!!! Not enough, as I cannot deposit money into a capital acc on a checkers till, as I can with most other banks, I, needed driving to the neighbouring town as in our town (35000 residents) only 1 ATM exists and that as usual was out of order again. Depositing a little over R5000 costed me R75 depositing fees!!! R75 for R5000 that's insane!!! Capitec service is pathetic, service fees are exorbitantly high and ATM network is sporadic to say the least. If you looking for a cheap and easy bank, Capitec is NOT IT
