Money ****** by the Bank depositing machine
I went to deposit some money at Capitec Bank at Edenglen, l was served inside the bank. Before l deposited the money, l asked the teller to count the money and she did using the depositing machine and told me that the money was short by a R1000. I refused and asked her to count it manually and we discovered that the amount was correct. She then took the money again to deposit it and during the counting the machine jammed and she asked for a colleague to help her fix it. For the second time again she told me the money was short again by the same figure mentioned earlier.I argued that the money was not short because we had manually counted it before taking it to the bank and while at the bank. To my surprise when she was counting the money she mixed the R100 and R200 notes telling me that the machine can dedicate the notes correctly using the size of the money. I requested that the R200 and R100 notes be counted separately but she refused and continued to deposit saying that the machine had taken some of the money already. The service was really bad.
