Money sent to an incorrect person

I sent Money to an incorrect person, I called to have it reversed and Capitec told me they can't help me since the recipient has transferred the money. so it my lost. i feel so helpless, i really hoped as my bank they will be able to help me. they are telling me to go to the police and can't even tell me who received my money.
